Taste of Pinecrest moving to new location

April 5, 2013 by

Miami residents looking forward to this year’s Taste of Pinecrest take notice, the event will not be held per usual at Pinecrest Gardens. This year’s event, set for this weekend, is to be held at the newly built YMCA South Dade Family Wellness Center, located close to the Fall Shopping Center.

Although the location will be new, a variety of fine restaurants will provide the same outstanding food selections. In addition to selections from the area’s highest quality eateries, food trucks offering quality fast foods will also be onsite for those with tastes that are more pedestrian. Included will be companies specializing in the sweeter food groups such as pastries, ice cream, cookies, and cupcakes.

While eating may be the main attraction, it is not the only feature at the Taste of Pinecrest. Music performed by student from the University of Miami and Gulliver Prep will entertain attendees and a kids’ zone, as well as indoor activities and interactive arts display, will interest the entire family.

Ideally, attendees will find that participating restaurants will have utilized local printing services to provide handouts to accompany their food items. In this way, visitors can keep track of foods they liked, which restaurant was responsible for a dish and where that establishment is located, as well as their hours of service.

The 11th Annual Taste of Pinecrest will take place this Sunday, April 7, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The address is 9355 SW 134 St. Sample plates range in price from $1 to $6 and a general admission of $1 is charged.
