New print solutions from Ricoh

Ricoh is expanding its range of marketing solutions for the enterprise sector to enable companies to deliver effective and customized multi-channel communications. The company is doing this by fostering key strategic partnerships to unite software, technology and services. One of its partners is Printable Technologies Inc (PTI).

According to recent research from Gleanster, targeted, relevant communications are important in creating revenue within the distributed marketing sector. The research also found that it was essential to give local marketers the possibility of changing messages to match the market conditions while retaining the integrity of the brand. This is an important message for print companies in Miami, Florida and elsewhere, offering digital business cards and other printing services.

Ricoh’s initiatives in this area will help those providing print services to move beyond a single print channel – direct mail – for example, to grow their businesses by offering multiple channels. Ricoh’s web to print offerings can assist with the optimization of print production and enhance the benefits to be gained from variable data printing.

According to the company, the current economic climate has enhanced the demand for quick customer response to produce visible results. Ricoh believes its offering will help commercial printers address the needs of corporate marketers.

“With these offerings a company could print a variable direct mail piece, conduct an email campaign, integrate online and offline using QR code and drive key messages through new channels such as mobile applications and iPads. This is yet another value-added service commercial printers can now tout,” says Ricoh’s Lee Gallagher.
