Grand opening offers pleasant afternoon touring new homes

Miami residents in the market for a new home should keep this weekend free, because that is when Hemmingway Point is having its Grand Opening.

As Miami’s newest residential community, Hemingway Point features three, four, and even five-bedroom homes. The houses run from 1636 to 2852 sq. ft. and come in five floor plans: Eastland, Delta, Crestview, Beacon, and Admiral.

Even those who are not currently in a position to purchase a new home are likely to enjoy the event. According to the President of the Southeast Florida Division of the builder D.R. Horton, Rafael Roca, the Grand Opening will include great food, a special appearance by one of the Miami Heat players, and some fun prizes.

Judged by Builder Magazine to be the biggest builder in the country, every year for last 10 years, D.R. Horton has built in excess of 400,000 houses throughout the country. Its latest local endeavor, Hemingway Point, is not just a collection of homes but a community that includes a covered pavilion, and a pool luxurious enough to grace any resort. Designed to be a family-friendly community, each house comes with its own two-car garage. Gourmet kitchens are available in some models, with options such as wood cabinets, energy efficient appliances, and granite countertops.

Guided tours of the model homes will be available for all potential homebuyers 1 p.m. to 3 p.m this Saturday, April 12, at 11868 SW 248th Terrace. Those who cannot find the time to see everything, a print company will hopefully have been engaged to print up brochures detailing the various home designs.
