Arts Alive celebration sees an early sellout

November 27, 2013 by

The 17th annual Arts Alive gala, which takes place in early December in Lake Mary, sold all tickets before November 6. Last year’s celebration raised $100,000 for the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools, and tickets for this year’s event were priced at $200.

The host will once again be Bob Frier of Fox 35. Guests will be treated to dinner and performances from 15 local acts, and more than 470 performers auditioned to take part in this year’s event. There will also be live and silent auctions to raise further funds for the Foundation.

Despite it being a full house, organizers are still accepting donations for the auctions, and there is a waiting list for those who wish to sponsor a table of 10.

The Foundation raises and distributes funds to Seminole County public schools. It also seeks to create partnerships between the schools and local businesses. With so many cutbacks in education, such partnerships are deemed necessary to help public schools succeed.

Companies who decide to donate items to the auctions might want to let their current customers know about it, perhaps by investing in services such as flyer printing to help spread the word to their customers living in nearby communities, such as Longwood.

The Arts Alive gala is taking place at the Westin Lake Mary Orlando North on December 6 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. To find out more, or to donate to the auctions, contact Seminole County Public Schools at 407-320-0196.
