Take a look at the SmartPlan Express this Christmas

December 7, 2011 by

The SmartPlan Express and Christmas Extravaganza will take place on December 13 from 5:30-8:30 pm at Jupiter Town Centre Plaza. This free event will be hosted by Roy Wiley, an avid train collector; the trains being displayed are his. It will also feature free cookies and hot chocolate. Those attending can also bring a toy for Toys for Tots and buy a raffle to help the Women’s Refuge of Vero Beach.

The SmartPlan Express is an indoor O scale model train display; there will be models that light up, realistic train sounds, snow and various moving parts. Train fans of all ages will love this display.

Many train collectors set up detailed villages to go with their train displays. These often feature realistic looking signs. Printing companies in Jupiter, or elsewhere, can print items of any size for reasonable prices. If you rely on buying such items from a train store or collector the cost can be quite unreachable. However, arranging with a local company will save you money and allow to have a completely original looking sign or poster for your display.

There will also be a shopping market for those who want to pick up some last minute gifts; there will be, among other things, jewelery, coffee, works of art, food, kitchen tools, candles and pet supplies. There will also be an area where you can receive basic health screening for free.

Toys for Tots is a program run by the U.S. Marine Corps, they collect new, unwrapped toys to distribute to needy children. The Women’s Refuge of Vero Beach offers residential and non-residential programs for women with emotion, spiritual and mental problems. Both are very worthy organizations which strive to help those in need.
