Help support the Health Planning Council

The Hale and Hearty 7K run will take place at the Riverside Arts Market on June 2, beginning at 8:00 am. There is also a concurrent one-mile fun run for children aged 13 and under. Participants pay $30 in advance, $35 on the day of the run, or $10 for the fun run. Another option is a $50 family fee which covers two adults and two children. Proceeds will go to support the Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida’s health care utilization study.

There is also a Corporate Challenge component to the run. Companies can access a training blog, they can compete against other companies, and can also earn points towards the Healthiest Companies Awards from the First Coast Worksite Wellness Council.

It is also an excellent team building exercise. Companies can motivate their employees to take part by offering incentives such as a paid day off or recognition throughout the company. For example, they could arrange with a local Jacksonville printing company to provide them with a certificate suitable for framing which would celebrate the achievement of the employee(s). This could then be hung in a prominent area of the workplace. Sponsorships are also available from $250 – $5,000 and businesses are asked to donate breakfast foods or prizes.

After the conclusion of the run, participants can enjoy everything that the Riverside Arts Market has to offer. The Market is open every Saturday from March through December and guest can purchase the work of over 100 artists, as well as enjoy musical entertainment, food and produce vendors, and street performers.
