A new center of Dr. G’s Weight Loss & Wellness program held its grand opening on January 19 at its location on Sheridan Street in Hollywood, Florida. The celebration was attended by over 150 people that included businesses and residents of Hollywood, city officials and the Chambers of Commerce from Hollywood and Broward County. The center is using printing services to create flyers and brochures to be distributed in the local area to inform the public about its weight loss programs.

The grand opening included a ribbon-cutting ceremony by City of Hollywood Commissioner Richard Blattner. Those who attended the grand opening were able to tour the modernly-designed center and meet its staff which includes a wellness coach, physician and medical assistants.

Dr. G’s Weight Loss & Wellness centers differ from other weight loss centers in that medically-supervised programs are designed individually for each client based on their needs and medical factors such as blood work, body composition, metabolic rate and behavioral history and are also designed to promote a healthier lifestyle. Typical weight loss plans consist of a combination of herbal supplements, medications approved by the FDA, custom meal plans and exercise programs and post-treatment maintenance programs.

Dr. Charles Goldsmith founded Dr. G’s Weight Loss & Wellness program in 1994. Since then, over 75,000 patients have been treated using his program and have lost over a total of one million pounds. According to the owners of the Hollywood center, sisters-in-law Valery and Jennifer Atkins, they have lost collectively more than 100 pounds on Dr. G’s program. In addition, a personality from the local radio, Tamara G. has lost 32 pounds on the program and created a testimonial video which was shown at the grand opening.
