Greynolds Park Love-In goes back to the 60s in North Miami Beach

Catholic Health Services is presenting the 10th annual Party in the Park Love-In this ‘Cinco de Mayo’. Approximately 6,000 people are expected to attend the event.

With visitors from all over the area, including nearby Hialeah, likely to show up in their droves, organizers are no doubt working with local printing companies to inform the community of this upcoming annual party.

The party will celebrate the culture and music of the 60s and 70s, which is particularly significant since the park in which it is being held was very much a gathering point for the youth of the area during those decades.

It will consist of concerts by bands such as Grand Funk Railroad, Mike Pinera’s Blues Image, and Blackstar. There will also be a vintage car display, arts and crafts vendors, a hippie costume contest, and a kids’ zone which will feature such activities such as T-shirt tie dying, face painting, and bounce houses. On-hand vendors will be selling such items as jewelry and 1960s memorabilia, all of which will no doubt contribute towards a great party for those who remember the 60s and want to introduce children to the culture of that time.

The Party in the Park will take place at Greynolds Park in North Miami Beach on May 5 from 11:00 am – 6:30 pm. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate, and VIP tickets are available for $45 in advance or $50 at the gate. Those who require more information can call 305-945-3425.
