Iron Maiden drummer to perform at School of Rock

The School of Rock in Coral Springs, Florida will be the host to Nicko McBrain, the drummer from the band Iron Maiden, this evening (November 8). The School has no doubt been using poster printing to announce this event to the parents of the students at the School, as well as other kids in the local community, in order to encourage attendance at the event.

McBrain will be part of a meet-and-greet that will enable students to get advice from him first hand as they prepare for a show that will be a tribute to Iron Maiden. Andrew Musselman, the Music Director of the School of Rock Coral Springs, applauds the drummer for taking the time to mentor the students – an memory that will no doubt remain with the kids for the rest of their lives.

Music Director of the School of Rock West Broward, Christian Davis, has said that this event may also provide a unique opportunity for students at the School to rehearse with McBrain for the cover of Iron Maiden’s ‘Aces High’.

One of the goals of the School in organizing this event is to make the public more aware of the importance of music education. There will be no charge for the event so as many as possible can attend. The School is requesting, however, that optional donations are made to the Rock School Fund. This enables the School to provide scholarships and instruments to students based on their financial needs so that their tuition can be covered, as well as to those who express an active and passionate desire to participate in a school program for rock music.
