Bradenton celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

March 14, 2014 by

With St. Patrick’s Day weekend almost upon us, the festivities in Bradenton are numerous this year. No doubt the organizers of the events are using flyer printing and poster printing to provide more information and let the community become aware of what is happening.

Tomorrow, March 15, there will be the monthly Main Street Live street party on Old Main Street. The street will be alive with music from the band Big Daddy, crafts vendors, food and bars, and restaurants and pubs open along the street from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

On the same day, there will be the Shamrock 5K and Pub Crawl. The 5K race will begin at 4:30 pm and a shorter race for kids will begin at 3:30 pm. All registered runners will be able to take part in a post-race party that will feature food and refreshments and green beer.

For the Pub Crawl, several restaurants in the downtown will be offering free shots and a commemorative glass.

On St. Patrick’s Day itself, Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub will be holding its 14th annual St. Paddy’s Day Bash. The Bash begins at noon and will continue throughout the evening. There will be a variety of live music, including bagpipers, and traditional Irish dishes such as corned beef and cabbage and shepherd’s pie, in additional to other more American fare such as burgers and hot dogs.
