Registration begins for 2018 Alabaster Christmas Parade

Businesses, organizations, and others that want to take part in the annual Christmas parade have a limited amount of time to register for the popular event.

A Storybook Christmas is the theme for the 2018 parade. All entrants should use this theme to create their floats or other displays. There is no fee to register or take part in the holiday event, but all registrations must occur before November 2.

Parade participants will have the opportunity to win one of several trophies. Awards will go to the entrant that has the most creative presentation, is the most entertaining, and makes the best use of the parade theme. Trophies for holiday spirit and the best walking entry are also available. Guests have the freedom to use the theme how they would like but cannot use a live Santa on their float. The real Santa is already booked for the event and will be escorted on a local firetruck.

Start your holiday banner printing and get ready to fill out the application. Registration runs from October 15 to November 2. Applicants can submit their forms online, through email, or by fax. The Alabaster Parks and Recreation department also accepts hand-delivered entries at their location at 7305 Highway 119 in Alabaster.
