Salad restaurant joins assortment of cuisine in Somerville

Downtown Somerville recently welcomed the Salad House, a fast-casual restaurant that specializes in fresh signature and customized salads. This is the fourth location of the chain, which also has restaurants in Morristown, Millburn, and Westfield.

David Delinko, owner of the shop, says the menu focuses on healthy options and is personalized to the customer’s dietary and individual tastes. Among the signature or made-to-order salads are ‘Stay Classy Caesar’, ‘East Cobb’, and ‘Greek Out’, with many being a twist on common favorites. There are both dine in and catering options for those who want to host a party for the office or their family.

There are also flatbread pizzas, sandwiches, soups, and appetizers on the menu. Beginning in the spring, outdoor dining will be added to the 20 indoor seats.

Other restaurants that have opened in downtown Somerville recently include Kuay Tiew Noodles and More, and Fresh Tiki Bar, which serves fresh fruit smoothies and juices.

Anticipated spring openings will include Village Brewing Company, serving progressive American cuisine and its own micro brews. Another new arrival will be Grumpy Bobas, serving customizable milk and fruit teas that use organic and whole ingredients whenever possible.

Poster printing companies can be hired to create posters that can be displayed throughout the borough, so people will know about the many culinary options in town.
