Snellville tees off in support of law enforcement

April 20, 2017 by

Those who enjoy spending time out on the links are invited to grab their clubs and head to the Snellville Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association’s Blue Light Golf Tournament fundraiser.

The day will kick off when registration opens at 8:00 am, and there will be a shotgun start scheduled for 9:00 am. At 1:00 pm, all the participants will head inside, where they will be served lunch and awards will be presented. A printer can use graphic design to craft awards for the overall winners of the day, as well as certificates of appreciation for the sponsors and others who took part and made the function possible.

The entry fee for each team of four players has been set at $400, and the monies raised will be used by the Snellville Police Department to purchase equipment and other items that can help them in the course of their daily duties. In previous years, it was used to help fund the department’s K9 unit, as well as upgrades to its vehicles, computer equipment, and more. Everyone who makes a donation will be issued a receipt for tax purposes.

This day of golf has been planned for April 24. Anyone who is interested in finding out additional details has been asked to contact Mary Fergus at 770-985-1322. Alternatively, they can visit the function’s website to find out more.
