Snellville gardeners invited to learn how to increase their harvest

August 29, 2017 by

Fall is on the way in Snellville, and a workshop will son be taking place that will give tips about how to get the most from the summer growing season.

The discussion will be facilitated by Timothy Daily, who is a Gwinnett County Extension Agent. He will be covering a variety of topics related to the home vegetable garden, and will share tips with the audience about what sorts of vegetables and other crops grow best in the local area. He will be sharing ideas on people can maximize the harvest from their own garden patch by caring for the plants properly, through such measures as using fertilizers, deadheading the plants, using adequate irrigation and much more.

The information session is being offered free of charge, and anyone who feels they could benefit from attending is welcome to do so. There will be time both before and after the event to socialize and share gardening advice with the others who attended the presentation. The stationery printing provided by a local print shop is likely needed whenever a public event wants to attract a large number of attendees.

The Fall Vegetable Gardening workshop will take place on September 7th in the in the Five Forks Library, which is located at 2780 Five Forks Trickum Road in Lawrenceville. The deadline to register is August 31st, and further details can be found on the Gwinnett Public Library’s website.
