Clinic opening in Sioux Falls’ west side

March 28, 2018 by

Sioux Falls’ west side is growing quickly, and since that growth has occurred, healthcare facilities are opening in the area. According to an article on the Keloland Media Group’s website, Avera opened a new clinic and ER recently, and both Sanford Clinic and Lewis Drug have announced that they plan to move to the west side as well.

Sanford’s Dr. Brad Palmer described the western part of the city as “underserved,” an opinion echoed by Nikki Griffin, the corporate vice president of Lewis Drug. Griffin said that the city’s population is developing and moving, and the company plans to move with it. For its part, Sanford intends to relocate its clinic to Ellis and 32nd from its current location at Sertoma and 41st. The new location offers twice as much space, which enables the clinic to offer more services.

Dr. Palmer said that the new space will have “full capability,” including OB, pediatrics, acute care, and family practice all in the same location. This is something new for Sanford.

Lewis Drug’s new location will connect to the new Sanford clinic. This allows people to see their doctor, then go directly to the drug store for their prescription and anything else they need, according to Griffin.

The opening date for the new facility is September 2018. New locations like this can benefit by working with stationery printers to create letterheads that provide the accurate address and other information.
