The Home Builders and Remodelers Association (HBRA) has added Shelton’s Kim DiMatteo into the Hall of Fame of Fairfield County for 2017.

DiMatteo is the vice president and a partner of DiMatteo Group, and the association’s board of directors put her name in the running. She and one other member were honored at the Annual Meeting.

Fairfield County HBRA CEO Gina Calabro said that DiMatteo had the qualifications to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. She has shown constant loyalty and hard work for a number of years, and has also invested time, money, and her talents to aid the HBRA in its mission.

Those nominated for this award can be a current, retired, or former member as long as they have a good reputation within the group. The HBRA does not give out the award every year, but when a member has earned it through exceptional service.

For 27 years, DiMatteo has worked mostly in real estate and construction insurance. She has been in the HBRA for 25 years, being elected to the board of directors in 1995. Since then she has worked on such committees as Membership, Associates Committee, Insurance Committee, and the Woman’s Council. Today, she serves the State Executive Committee and the board of directors for the state.

Printing companies can create plaques for individuals who have won this award.
