The free Sugar Plum Avenue Festival will be delighting Scottsdale children this weekend, as a transformation of a local shopping district into a fairy land of holiday décor takes place.

Sugar Plum fairies and princesses will be strolling through the venue greeting guests and talking with the children. The Snow King & Queen will be walking around on stilts, and kids will enjoy the interactive Nutcrackers. A full presentation of the ballet ‘The Nutcracker’ will be on stage.

Kids can get their faces painted, receive free balloon animals and bounce around in the Candy Land Bounce Houses. Attendees will want to keep looking skyward as there will be aerial performances.

Many guests will be taking carriage rides to the interactive art mural and the interactive music wall. Guests will walk among the 25 giant revolving prism sculptures in the art installation Prismatica and view the earth and nature inspired suspended sculpture- Reflection Rising presented by Poetic Kinetics.

Photo boards and selfie stations will be available so everyone will want to come in their best Christmas attire. Photos taken at these locations will surely become part of many 2018 family calendars.

Sugar Plum Avenue will be in the 5th Avenue Shopping District in Old Town Scottsdale today, December 16 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
