Schenectady invited to learn how to craft bouquet beauty

April 26, 2018 by

The Schenectady County Community College Foundation has put out a call to the local area about an event that will teach those who participate how they can personally craft a bouquet just in time for Mother’s Day.

The flowering arranging class, which will be hosted by Niskayuna’s Felthousen Florist, will see those who participate learn how they can create a bouquet of fresh flowers and greenery. While they work, they will be offered mocktails and light snacks to enjoy.

The students in the class will be able to choose their favorites from seasonal selections such as lilies, carnations, asters, and many others. They will be given step-by-step instructions in how to arrange their flowers for maximum effect, and the price tag for the lesson even includes the vase. At the end of the workshop they will be able to take their creation home with them, and they can choose to give it as a gift or keep it for themselves.

Two classes have been planned, and as each only has space for 12 students, those who are interested are advised to sign up early. The tickets start at $20 for alumni and $25 for a guest. A flyer printing company can supply promotional materials for an event like this, which can help to ensure it is well attended.

This two hours of floral fun will be taking place on June 16. The organizer of the occasion can be contacted though its website.
