Santa Rosa releases rosé for good cause

April 29, 2017 by

The St. Francis Winery in Santa Rosa is getting ready for its 2017 Rosé Release Party.

The event features food, entertainment, and, of course, wine, all to support a charitable cause.

Rosé is a light, slightly pink wine known for fruity undertones and a sweet taste. Every year, the St. Francis Winery releases a new set of this popular vintage. This year, the release will be accompanied by artisan pizza meant to bring out the full palette of the wine. Guests will also be able to buy the rosé by the bottle or by the case. Everyone who purchases a case or more will get some free promotional products as an extra souvenir.

Part of the event is devoted to raising funds for St. Joseph Health’s Breast Cancer Survivorship Program. The charity is devoted to providing follow-up care and support for anyone who has completed breast cancer treatment. Visitors can support the nonprofit in one of two ways: they can buy raffle tickets at the event for $2 each at the tasting, or they can donate directly by following a link on the website.

The Rosé Release Party will take place on May 7 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the St. Francis Winery, located at 100 Pythian Rd. Tickets are $40 a person or $32 for Wine Club members. Anyone looking for more information should visit the website.
