Residents in Santa Rosa are starting to get ready for OUTwatch – Wine Country’s LGBTQI Film Festival. The three-day event features eight feature length films, parties, raffles, and more.

All of the films shown are either created by LGBTQI filmmakers, or feature LGBTQI subject matter. The goal of the fest is to help document, inform, and remind attendees of the complexity and diversity in these communities. Entries this year include one from France as well as numerous entries from around the United States. Several documentaries are among the films featured this year, including Political Animals, winner of the 2016 LA Film Fest audience, and jury awards for best documentary.

In addition to the films, visitors can also attend the VIP Parties and the Ice Cream and Sparkling Wine Socials. The festival also features preshow raffles before every movie that have gained a reputation for their interesting prizes and promotional products. Sponsors have also pitched in to provide tickets for local nonprofit groups, such as Face to Face and Food for Thought, as well as tickets for underprivileged members of the community.

The OUTwatch Film Festival will take place from November 4 to 6 at the Third Street Cinema, located at 620 3rd St. An All-Access Pass costs $75 and includes entry to all movies and parties. Anyone interested in show times, movie descriptions, or other info should visit the website.
