Santa Ana to host music fest

Residents in Santa Ana are getting ready for the Konsept Art and Music Festival. The three-day event will include a wide variety of music events and competitions, as well as art exhibitions on multiple stages across Santa Ana.

Things kick off with a beat battle – a competition where beat makers compete on stage to see who can create the best. The entries will be performed and then judged based on creativity, difficulty, and arrangement. Judges this year include Exile, Houseshoes, and Thavius Beck.

The next day features an impressive eight different stages set up around the city running at various times from midday to late at night. A large variety of acts will play including DJ Kike, G Funk Supreme, New American, the Hollywood Fortyfives, Mr.SMiTh, and Seoulstice. Flyers list the full lineup of the festival based on stage, though no exact performance times are listed for each group.

Additionally there will be four stages with different art exhibits, sales, and displays set up. To date, no exact artist listing is available. On the last day, a closing concert will be performed by groups like EarlyDaze, Rukahs, and Mufasaraza.

The Konsept Art and Music Festival will take place from November 4 to 6 at various locations around Santa Ana. The kick off beat battle will be November 4 from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am at the Frida Cinema, located at 305 E. 4th St. Admission to all events is free. A full listing and more information are available on the website.
