San Rafael area project to show some love to the local environment

March 27, 2018 by

The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy has organized a habitat restoration project for the San Rafael area, and it is hoping that many hands will volunteer to come out and lend their support to the day.

Proof Lab Surf Shop and Parks Project will be joining forces with the planners of the occasion to clean up and restore wildlife habitat in the Marin Headlands. Along with an opportunity to play a role in protecting the environment, those who participate will have a chance to learn more about the plants and animals it supports.

The organizers of the occasion noted that all the materials and equipment needed to compete the work will be provided to the volunteers, and this includes gloves. The only thing they will need to bring is a bottle of water to drink and sunscreen. Flyer printing companies can produce promotional items to help let members of the public know that an event like this has been planned for their area.

The suggested attire for the day is sturdy work clothes, including long pants and either work boots or shoes. Sandals and shorts will not be permitted. The work will take place rain or shine, so people are advised to dress for the weather.

This habitat restoration project has been planned for April 7, and the group will meet at the park gate located at the end of Donahue Street in Sausalito. The organizers can be contacted at joe@parksproject.us.
