Happy birthday to the San Rafael Public Library

May 29, 2017 by

This year, the San Rafael Public Library will be celebrating its 130th anniversary of adding to the cultural flavor of the community, and the public is invited to come and join in the fun.

The institution, which started life as a coffee and reading room back in 1887, has been going strong ever since. The festivities, which are open to everyone, will offer plenty to see and do for all ages.

There will be freshly made ice cold lemonade and slices of birthday cake to enjoy, as well as hot dogs, popcorn, and other treats. The kids can have their faces painted and enjoy some time burning off some energy in the bounce house. The older youth and adults can try out the rock climbing wall, make some old time crafts, and relax while they meet with their friends and neighbors.

An area printer will be able to work with the organizers of an event like this to design and produce customized promotional products that can be given out to those who come to the party.

All of this excitement has been planned for this Saturday, June 3 at the San Rafael Public Library, which is located at 1100 E. St. Everyone is welcome, and those who require further details can visit the event’s Patch listing or call 415-485-3321.
