Sactown runs in urban dash for charity

The Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento #1032 will be hosting its Second Annual Sactown Urban Dash at the end of September. The theme this year will be ‘Explore, Race, Give’.

This will be a scavenger clue-solving hunt where teams will foot race through downtown Sacramento stopping for clues along the way that will direct them to various challenges. Challenges will range from selfie-team pictures to solving questions.

The dash is for all ages and physical abilities and will take approximately 60 to 90 minutes to complete. Some teams may wish to just take their time and enjoy the course while others may opt to make a mad dash to the finish. Teams may be as small as two people up to 10 participants. An air horn will blare to start the race and clock, and times will be recorded as teams cross the finish line.

An after party will have music, group commemorative photos, and free raffle tickets. Families and friends will no doubt be taking these group photos to local printing companies for poster printing. Participants will also get to take one pass at the pizza bite bar.

Proceeds from this event will go to WEAVE and local children’s charities.

The Urban Dash for Charity will be September 30, from noon to 4:30 pm starting and ending at Hot Italian, 1627 16th Street, Sacramento.
