Sacramento chocolate lovers flock to salon

The Chocolate Salon here in Sacramento will be holding its fifth year anniversary this weekend. Here will be a chance for all chocolate lovers to taste premium, gourmet, and artisan chocolate on their doorstep.

Over 20 chocolatiers, food experts, authors, chocolate makers, and lifestyle experts will be on site. Some of these will include New Orleans, CRU Chocolate, Kindred Cooks, Le Grand Confectionary, The Cocoa Exchange, and Amano Artisan Chocolate.

Guests will be able to sample any items and attend all of the panels, discussions, and author and chef talks.

Four panelists and speakers are slated. Irvin Lin, an award-winning baker, photographer, graphic design artist, writer, and storyteller, will be discussing his new cookbook, titled ‘Marbled, Swirled, and Layered: 150 Recipes and Variations for Artful Bars, Cookies, Pies, Cakes and More’. Art Pollard, a master artisan chocolate maker, will be discussing traditional chocolate-making techniques and some of his globe-trotting adventures. Relationship expert Joey Garcia, will be talking about the healing power of chocolate and joining the panels, as will Terri Littleton from Terri Does Desserts.

TasteTV’s Chocolate Television program will be covering the event and interviewing the authors, chefs and other people of interest.

The 2018 Chocolate Salon will take place from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm this Saturday, January 27, at the Citizen Hotel, 926 J. Street, Sacramento.
