Trivia fundraiser planned for Royersford area

Alexander Pope once noted “what mighty contests rise from trivial things” and during an upcoming event that has been planned for the Royersford area, trivia buffs will have a chance to put their knowledge to the test.

The Althouse Arboretum will be hosting a special activity that will see groups of friends coming together for a night of friendly competition in the great outdoors. The contest will consist of 10 rounds of questions, and two of these will be lightning rounds. The groups can consist of as few as two or as many as eight members, and the victors will be presented with a trophy to take home, not to mention claiming bragging rights.

The ticket price for the evening will be $10 each, and dessert will be served to the participants. The monies raised through this activity will be used to help support the arboretum in its efforts to help educate the public about sustainability, ecology, and other environmental issues. An area printer will be able to use digital copying to produce sheets of questions and other materials that can help to make sure an event like this goes smoothly.

It will take place on June 30, starting at 7:00 pm. It will be held in the Althouse Arboretum, which is located at 1794 Gilbertsville Road in Pottstown. Further details have been added to its website.
