Roseville set for running in Rocklin

March 15, 2018 by

The 15th Annual Run Rocklin will be coming early in April. The event will feature a half marathon, 12k, 5k and half-mile and one-mile free kids’ runs.

T-shirts are guaranteed to all participants that register before this Saturday, March 17. These performance tees will sport the event’s graphic design.

The 5K will be an easier flat course and can be experienced by casual walkers. The scenic 12K has a limit of 600 runners, and the half marathon will be limited to 400 runners. All 12K finishers will receive medals, and super medals will be awarded to those runners who finish the half marathon.

Teams are a big part of this event. They will be made up of Roseville families, friends, and colleagues. Corporate wellness teams of over 20 members are being formed and many of them are partnering with local non-profits. Rocklin Run will donate $5 per team member registration to the nonprofit. Nonprofits and schools will be forming their own teams and getting the run’s $5 per member donations.

After the race, there will be an Expo where local businesses, merchants and nonprofits will be manning booths and distributing coupons, information, displaying products, and discussing services.

The Run Rocklin will take place Sunday, April 8 at Johnson-Springview Regional Park 5480 5th St. Rocklin. The 12K and the half marathon begin at 8:00 am, and the 5K run/walk begins at 8:15 am.
