Families invited to Redmond Father’s Day fun

Redmond will be paying a special salute to fathers during an event that will bring together members of the state’s brewing community.

The Washington Beer Commission will invite all area beer lovers to raise a glass during the Washington Brewers’ Festival. It is an all a ages event, and more than 500 beers, ales, stouts, ciders, wines, and other beverages will be on tap.

The festivities, which will be open to all ages, will give fathers and their kids a chance to enjoy some time together in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. More than 10 food trucks will be rolling in for the occasion, and there will also be live entertainment. Each of the ticket holders will receive a tasting glass, and a printing services provider can be called upon to design and supply custom drinkware such as this.

The kids who come to the festival can enjoy spending some time in the playground set up just for them. They will be admitted to the grounds free of charge so long as they are accompanied by an adult, and there will be balloon artists, bounce houses, face painting, a root beer garden and other activities. The price tag for these will be posted at the event.

This weekend of Father’s Day fun will run from June 15 until 17. It has been planned for King County’s Marymoor Park.
