April 10, 2017 by

The Whole Earth and Watershed Festival will be here in a couple of weeks.

Over 135 exhibitors will have giveaways, educational interactive demonstrations, and activities. Wellness exhibitors will be offering health screenings, and food vendors will be selling healthy food options.

The Whole Earth Innovation Tent will have inspiring speakers that will be presenting projects and ideas for a healthy tomorrow. Some topics may include tree pruning, composting, backyard beekeeping, and alternative energy. One presenter will be Sourcetainable, an alternative everything startup, and City of Redding Utilities will have presentations on energy, lighting, and water.

A Poetry Jam will be on the Community Stage. Aspiring poets will have 10 minutes to share their dramatic readings and recitations.

The Whole Earth Walk About will have guests picking up “passports” and collecting booth operators’ initials – one from each of the seven colored areas. Completed passports will then be returned to the information booth to be entered into drawings for prizes.

The Whole Earth Children’s Zone will have hands-on activities for children ages zero to eight.

A total of 11 bands will be on two stages. Fans of them may want to see if they can purchase any promotional products.

The festival will be April 22 at Redding City Hall & Sculpture Park, 755 Cypress Avenue here in Redding. The event will run from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm.
