A harbinger of spring here is the Annual Redding Spring Home and Garden Show which will be coming to town in March. This will be the ninth season for this popular two-day event, and as always admission will be free to the public.

More than 120 local businesses will be having demonstrations, displaying goods and services and passing out information in flyers and brochures.

Some exhibits will be about windows, doors, siding, carpeting, wood flooring, granite, and tile kitchen counters. Others will be displaying BBQ Islands, hot tubs, and home water purification systems. Guests can discuss their lawns with landscape designers and architects, get advice about pest control options, and get some kitchen and bath remodeling tips. Contractors will offer referral services in pool refurbishing, building and installing and in foundation repair, home remodeling, and construction.

Guests who enjoy gourmet cooking will want to attend the cooking demonstrations and look over the high-quality knives and cookware for purchase. Mural artists will be discussing and showing their work, along with photographers and those dealing in other artworks. Other exhibitors will range from desk companies to security and alarms companies.

The Show will be held at the Redding Civic Auditorium, 700 Auditorium Drive, Redding, March 11 and March 12. Saturday hours will be 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, and Sunday hours will be 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
