The Haven Humane Society is about to host its first annual Putt4Paws golf tournament. All proceeds will go toward supporting the society.

The tournament will have a four-person scramble format and will be played on a scenic 18-hole course. Admission fee will be $400 per team of four and $100 per individual player. The fees will include 18 holes of golf, range balls, goodie bags, carts, and a BBQ lunch of tri-tip chicken, salad, and dessert will be served after the tournament. Golfers can purchase mulligan tickets.

There will be prizes for the teams finishing first, second, or third. Golfers will also win prizes in many contests and raffles, such as the K-9 Protector Longest Drive, Purrfect Putting, Animal House Accuracy Drive, and Cat Nip Nearest to the Pin. Other contests will include a Cat’s Meow Cart, a Happy Tails, and Rescue Me Tee. SJDenham will be sponsoring the Hole in One Prize, the winner of which will be able to drive home in a Jeep Compass.

Local duffers will want to mark their calendars for the Putt4Paws golf tournament, which will be tomorrow, July 14, at Riverview Golf and Country Club, 4200 Bechelli Lane, Redding. The tournament will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. Check-in will start at 7:30 am, with the shotgun start beginning at 9:00 am.
