The Princeton Area Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the Rum River Festival in a few days.

There will be a 5K run/walk for which each participant will receive a race number, T-shirt, water, and snacks after the race. First, second, and third place medals will be awarded in eight age categories.

A Street Fair on Rum River Drive in Downtown Princeton will be in full swing for one day. It will consist of food vendors, business booths passing out flyers, and arts and craft exhibitors.

The Princeton Ambassador Coronation and the Run River Festival Parade will be the highlights of the third day. The number of bands has been limited to 10 this year and awards will be given to the first, second, and third place winner of each category. There will also be awards for outstanding percussion and outstanding color guard.

The Citywide Garage Sale will be going on for a couple of days during the week.

The last day, the Princeton Airport will host the Lions Fly-in Brunch. This venue will also host the Flying Tiers Remote Control Airplane Show and a car show during that time.

The Rum River Festival will be from June 6 to 11. The parade will be June 8 starting at 6:00 pm at 705 2nd St. Princeton. The Run/Walk event will be June 10 in Mark Park, 405 11th Avenue South Princeton, starting at 7:00 am with race time at 8:00 am.
