Festival offers a taste of Portland

The Taste of Portland Eggfest is taking place next month in the city.

The main attraction of the festival is the Big Green Egg barbecue, and visitors will have the opportunity to taste food made in these vessels. There will also be a cooking contest that everyone with a Big Green Egg can enter, where the first prize is a $500 shopping spree.

There will also be local vendors selling items like freshly cut lavender and homemade honey, along with musical entertainment and a kids’ play area expected to feature attractions such as bounce houses and a petting zoo. Guests can also enjoy a beer garden. There will be many food samples available for purchase during the day; tasting tickets are $1 each or $15 for an all-day passport.

In addition, there will be a 5K and a fun run that will raise funds for the Parkrose High School Cross Country Team. Entry fees are $20 for adults and $15 for children aged 18 and under.

Vendors will likely invest in signs and other services from a Portland stationery printing company to draw more attention to their booths.

The Taste of Portland Eggfest will be held at Rossi Farms on June 23 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. For the most current information, visit the official event website.
