Awards set to honor Portland nonprofits

November 30, 2017 by

The Annual Awards Breakfast of the East Portland Chamber of Commerce is taking place next month, presenting a networking opportunity for local business leaders and nonprofit organizers.

Breakfast will be a buffet, and there will also be entertainment and raffles. All of those attending are asked to bring a wrapped gift for the raffle prizes.

The awards are set to honor nonprofit groups that make a contribution to the community. There will be six awards handed out this year, with the recipients being Multnomah County Animal Rescue, Hood River Search and Rescue, Thunder Island Brewing Company, Cascade Fire and EMS, Sound Equine Options, and the Friends of the Columbia Gorge. In addition, the Excellence in Community Service award will be presented to the first responders to the Eagle Creek Fire.

It is likely that most of those who are planning to attend this event will be taking along their premium business cards. There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss business and future collaborations between Portland businesses and nonprofit organizations.

The Annual Awards Breakfast will be held at the Colwood Golf Center on Wednesday, December 13 from 7:30 to 9:15 AM. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. To learn more about the event or awards, contact the East Portland Chamber of Commerce at 503-788-8589.
