Annual festival brings the heat back to Portland

July 8, 2017 by

The 2nd annual PDX: Hot Sauce Expo is taking place in Portland next month for two days, presented by High River Sauces.

Vendors representing more than 40 hot sauce companies from all over the United States will be on hand to provide sample tastings and to sell their products. There will also be plenty of craft beer available for purchase.

The festival will be filled with contests and challenges including the Lucky Dog Eating Contest, the Spicy Taco of Hell Challenge, and the Spicy Pizza of Doom Challenge. In addition, guests can compete in the Carolina Reaper Eating Contest, which will attempt to break a Guinness World Record.

There is also set to be a margarita mixdown, a Bloody Mary mix-down, and a chihuahua beauty contest.

A couple of packages are available for purchase, including the Craft Brew Package for $35, which includes five drink tokens, a bottle of sauce, and a T-shirt. The VIP package is $60 and includes the above as well an open bar and access to an exclusive area, although only 100 of these are available each day.

Portland poster printing companies are often asked to provide advertising products for events like this.

The PDX: Hot Sauce Expo will be held at the Omsi Bridge Lot from August 5 to 6. Visit the official website to learn more.
