Port Washington area plans day of holiday fun

November 27, 2017 by

This holiday season, Port Washington residents will be welcomed to an event that will give them an opportunity to learn more about traditions from all over the world that take place during this time of the year.

Sands Point Preserve’s Hempstead House will the venue for the Holiday Tales at the Hearth. Guests at the function will have lots to do, or can sit back and relax while they listen to readings of different holiday stories. There will also be seasonal music, and what was once the mansion’s billiards room will be converted into a reading room where the public can take in tales from all over the globe.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are on the guest list for the occasion, and the kids are invited to pay both of them a visit. They can also make crafts to take home and add their talents to the mural that will be created during the event. A local printer will be able to use digital copying and other techniques to supply an occasion like this with everything from special invitations for VIPs, to coloring and activity sheets for the younger visitors.

This day of holiday themed family friendly fun is on the agenda for December 3. The entry fee is based on the carload, and tickets start at $10 per car. Anyone who would like to know more can find further details on the Port Washington Guide website.
