Play to be staged for Port Washington kids

The Story of Sleeping Beauty is a well-known fairy tale, and a Port Washington production will bring a to life a theatrical version of the story as originally told by the Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault.

The Panto Company will be the players that stage the performance, and it will tell the tale of a young princess who, on her birthday, is cursed to sleep until awakened by a kiss. It has geared towards children who are between the ages of 4 to 10, and while it may be favorite children’s story, the play has been written to appeal to their parents as well.

The stage performance has been brought to the community, in part, through the assistance of a grant from Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso, PM pediatrics, and several other local sponsors that have been generous in their support. The general ticket price for all seats will be $25, with Friends of Landmark on Main Street being offered a reduce price of $22. Poster printing can be utilized to produce a variety of marketing materials that can advertise an event like this to theater fans in the local area.

Sleeping Beauty will be taking to the stage in Port Washington on Sunday, October 22. An opportunity to purchase tickets for this or any of its other events can be found on the Landmark’s website.
