Fundraiser ensures children’s theater in Pittsburgh

The 11th annual Royal Ball is taking place next month in Pittsburgh, raising funds for the Gemini Children’s Theater.

The event is mainly aimed at children, but adults will find some activities to interest them too. Everyone who attends is encouraged to dress up as their favorite storybook character.

The ball will have visits from lots of storybook characters, and even a unicorn. There will be plenty of singing and dance, some of which will be interactive, and games with prizes.

The adults will have the opportunity to bid on items in the silent auction, and everybody can enjoy the luncheon buffet.

Sponsorships can be purchased by businesses and individuals for $750 up to $10,000.

Proceeds raised at this event will help fund free tickets giveaways, acting classes and summer camps, and inexpensive rates for educational outreach for elementary and pre-school/kindergarten students.

It is likely that the people who donated items to the silent auction will be recognized on signage that may be obtained from Pittsburgh stationery printers.

The Royal Ball will be held at the Pittsburgh Field Club on May 20 from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm. Tickets are $50 per person, or tables of 10 are available for $450. Children aged two and under are admitted free. Contact the Gemini Children’s Theater at 412-243-6464 for more information about this annual event.
