Festival celebrates everything Italian

The Bloomfield district of Pittsburgh will be the location of the Little Italy Days festival for four days next month.

This has been named the best special event held in the city and it regularly attracts over 150,000 visitors each year.

There will be plenty of Italian food and drink, cultural performances, music and family activities. There will be three stages where over 30 acts are slated to perform. These include Marco Fiorante and The Jersey Four (a Four Seasons tribute band). Other performers will include the East End Kids and the North Star Kids, both song and dance acts.

There is set to be a Celebrity Bocce Challenge featuring local public figures. There will also be a pizza stretching demonstration and a past eating contest. Other special events with include the Italian Idol talent show and the Miss Little Italy pageant.

Vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of Italian-related merchandise that will likely include arts and crafts, clothing and souvenirs. Vendor spaces are still available. The rental prices range in price from $595 up to $1,495; prices depend on size and location.

A Pittsburgh poster printing company may be asked to provide advertising materials for the festival.
