Farming conference coming to Pittsburgh

January 29, 2017 by

The American Farm Bureau Federation is holding its Fusion conference in Pittsburgh next month.

Fusion stands for Farmers United: Skills, Inspiration, Outreach and Networking. There will be keynote speeches from Chris Koch, Rocky Bleier and Dr. Charles Petty. There will also be hands-on learning sessions, a collegiate discussion meet and breakout sessions on such topics of advocacy, business, leadership and education, among others.

Attendees can attend several receptions, lunches and dinners. There will also be beverage breaks during the day where they can network with their peers. In addition, they have a choice of several tours of Pennsylvania and Ohio. One of these is the Veggies and Apples visit to the Eichner Farm and Soergel Orchard; a boxed lunch is included. Some tours do have age restrictions and some have an extra fee involved.

The grand finale of the conference will take place at Heinz Field. Guests will enjoy food, dancing and a tour of the facility.

No doubt, many of the guests will be placing a new business card printing order before attending this Pittsburgh event.

The Fusion conference will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center from February 10 to 13. The registration fee is $285, which includes all meals, tours and receptions. Call 202-406-3600 for more information.
