Annual health fair returns to Pittsburgh

January 21, 2018 by

The 2nd annual Journey to Wellness Health Fair will be held next month in Pittsburgh.

Presented by the Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, this free event will feature guest speakers, health screenings, and seminars.

The guest speakers who are confirmed for this year are Sharice Nance from Hand in Hand Counseling Services and Bonnie Delozier of Adagio Health. Health screenings will likely feature tests for high blood pressure and cholesterol, among others. The seminars will concentrate on both physical and mental health topics.

There will also be exercise classes for people of all levels, several door prizes, and health and wellness-related vendors. Vendors will be selling and showcasing their latest products and services. Some of the vendors may be giving away free items like Reading is Fundamental did last year by handing out free books.

It is likely that vendors will come from all around the city including some from nearby Plum. Many of them may invest in the likes of banner printing services to decorate their booths and attract more attention.

The Journey to Wellness Health Fair will be held at the Thelma Lovette YMCA in Pittsburgh on February 17 from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Admission is free of charge. For the most current information about this event, visit the Eventbrite page.
