Pineville area event to explore Canadian whisky

January 16, 2018 by

The Brevard Whiskey Club of Charlotte has planned a special event for late January, and Pineville whiskey buffs are invited to come and check out the experience for themselves.

The club has organized a tasting that will feature several whiskies produced in Canada, including Forty Creek, Canadian Club Reserve, Alberta Rye, and Crown Royal. Like many American versions of this libation, such as bourbon, Canadian whiskies tend to be produced from a variety of grains, but each of these ingredients is fermented, distilled, and aged on its own instead of together.

Both Brevard Whiskey Club members and nonmembers are welcome, and the tasting function will be held in Belfast Mill’s Cotton Room. There is no registration fee being charged for those who have already joined the group, but anyone who has not will be asked to pay $15 each. The event is only open those age 21 and over. A local printer will be able to supply branded custom drinkware for this type of event.

January 31 has been chosen as the date for this opportunity to enjoy some whisky from the North, and it is scheduled to being at 6:00 pm. It will run until 9:00 pm, and anyone who would like to find out more information about the evening has been asked to visit the Cotton Room at Belfast Mills website for more details.
