July event to showcase local organizations

June 25, 2017 by

The Queen City Community Extravaganza is taking place next month.

A presentation of Vision Beyond the Eyes and Caldwell Empire, the event will have plenty of activities for people of all ages and is a showcase for local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community organizations.

Businesses will be promoting and selling their products, while nonprofit groups will be providing information about their programs and services. Companies offering employment opportunities will be on hand as well, and government officials will be making appearances and talking to the public.

There will be kids’ entertainment such as face painting and contests to win prizes. Visitors can also take part in raffles, and several local radio stations will be there.

Vendor tables are still available for $75 for businesses, $50 for nonprofit organizations, and $25 for authors, while food trucks pay $150. Sponsorships are also available for $50 up to $400.

It is likely that businesses from nearby communities such as pineville will also be on hand to promote themselves. Most of them will likely bring their custom business cards to pass on to their business peers.

The Queen City Community Extravaganza will be held at Freedom Park in Charlotte on July 8 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. Call 704-449-2442 to learn more, become a sponsor, or rent vendor space.
