Dinner will bring seniors together

The 41st annual Senior Citizens Valentine’s Banquet is taking place next month in Pineville, presented by the Pineville Parks and Recreation Department.

The banquet is open to everyone aged 60 and over who is a resident of Pineville. Those who are interested in attending must register with the Parks and Recreation Department no later than this Saturday, February 4.

Guests will be treated to a sit-down three-course meal that will include pasta, a garden salad, garlic rolls, and dessert. Beverages will also be served. Attendees will be entertained during the evening by Flashback: The Party Band, who will no doubt be playing some of the songs that seniors will remember fondly so they can sing along. There will also be 30 door prizes of VISA gift cards.

This early Valentine’s Day celebration will ensure that seniors who are now alone are not forgotten and that they know the community cares about them.

To advertise the banquet in Pineville, organizers may distribute printed flyers in the community that were obtained from a local stationery printing company.

The Senior Citizens Valentine’s Banquet will be held at the Belle Johnston Community Center Gym on February 10 beginning at 6:00 PM. Admission is free of charge for residents of Pineville. To register to attend, or to find out more about this event, call 704-889-2400.
