Phoenix to celebrate Year of the Rooster

January 10, 2017 by

In the Chinese calendar, 2017 is the year of the Rooster, and an event has been planned for Phoenix that will greet the new year with an assortment of festivities that celebrate traditional food and culture from China.

The city will be celebrating its annual Phoenix Chinese Week with a variety of different activities that will put the spotlight on that nation’s culture and cuisine. There will be demonstrations of traditional Chinese music and dance, martial arts exhibitions, a pavilion where children can create themed crafts, and much more.

There will also be lion and dragon dances, rides for the kids, authentic Chinese dishes to sample, a beer garden, a koi exhibit, tournaments, a photo booth where the public can have their picture taken in Chinese costumes and a wide assortment of other offerings. There will be no admission fee charged to enter the event, and it is suitable for all ages.

Custom designed flyers can be used to effectively promote a festival like this throughout the city and the surrounding communities, which can help to ensure it is a success.

The Chinese Culture and Cuisine Festival will be held at Margaret T. Hance Park East in Phoenix from February 10 to the 12. There is plenty of free parking around the festival venue.

All are welcome to attend this family friendly event, and more details are available on its website.
