A fall teaching event will soon be on offer for nursing educators, and those from Phoenix are invited to join their colleagues in this local workshop.

The hands-on instruction will equip the participants with an in depth knowledge of an assortment of teaching strategies they can use to help their students adopt a nurse’s frame of mind. The methods taught will include those that can be used in a clinical or classroom setting, and there will also be a discussion of how to change current instructional practices so that they can best meet the needs of today’s nursing students. Digital copying can be utilized by an area printer to supply copies of handouts for a training session like this.

The day will open with registration form 7:30 am until 8:30 am, and this will be followed by a welcome. The schedule will the move on directly to a presentation by Nurse Keith, RN. Both a morning break and lunch are included in the schedule. The early bird ticket price, which will be available until October 6, has been set at $60 each for members, and $75 for nonmembers. After this date, the price will increase.

October 20 has been chosen as the date for the workshop, which will take place in Phoenix’s Chamberlain College of Nursing. Breakfast and lunch are included in the admission price.
