Petaluma to host huge holiday shopping party

Petaluma is the place to be this holiday season, and its downtown merchants are celebrating with an Holiday Open House celebration.

The event, which has a theme of ‘From Petaluma with Love’ will offer lots of activities for all ages. Many of the participating stores and other businesses will be offering discounts, and there will be rides in a horse drawn carriage that will set out from Putnum Plaza.

The youngsters in the crowd will be able to get their faces painted, watch a balloon artist at work, and there will be many other activities as well. They will be able to meet Santa in person and have their pictures taken with him, and Brook and the Caterpillar will be supplying live entertainment.

The parents and other adults will also find lots to do. A cookie exchange has been planned, and the Apple Tree Morris Dancers are also scheduled to take to the stage. A printer that crafts ad specialties will be able to provide many different branded custom promotional products that can be given out during a community event like this.

After a day of fun and shopping, the public is invited to stay and enjoy the Festival of Trees, which is also on the agenda. Both of these events will be held this Saturday, December 2 in Petaluma’s downtown.
