Theater to raise money through Elton John tribute

September 10, 2014 by

Patchogue Theatre recently announced the musicians for its annual Live in the Lobby fundraiser event.

This year’s Covers in the Lobby show will feature the music of Elton John, and will raise money for the 10th season of the Live in the Lobby events. Featured artists will include JellyBand, Cheap & Dirty, Guilty Pleasures, and Hank Stone. Many event venues choose to advertise events and concerts with poster printing.

According to a press release, Live in the Lobby has a reputation as a major venue for original, local music on Long Island. The events throughout the season feature a variety of musical styles, and in past years, have given birth to a range of performance events.

The 100th show of the event was celebrated in February of 2014. This season’s lineup includes The Butchers Blind with Bryan Gallo and Chris J Connolly, as well as the Toby Tobias Ensemble and the Rupert Wates Trio.

The Elton in the Lobby event will be held on September 18, 7:30 pm, at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. Tickets for the event are $10, and include one beverage at the bar. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the performance at the box office, and can be reserved by calling the box office. The doors will open at 7:00 pm, and attendees should be aware that seating is limited.
