Parker hosts annual town-wide festivities

June 1, 2017 by

The Parker Days Festival is coming to the town for three and a half days later this month.

The Festival has expanded this year, running from Parker Road to Pace Center Drive. Added attractions will include a Farmers’ Market, the Budweiser Clydesdales, and a food truck alley serving a range of cuisines including Venezuelan, Jamaican, sushi, and macaroni and cheese.

Carnival rides will be a highlight of the weekend, with haunted and fun houses, mazes, games, and an inflatable race track. Rides will appeal both to the young and adults who are young at heart.

Vendors will be lining the streets, providing information about the goods and services they offer. This is an opportunity for them to use the services of printing companies to create brochures with information that people can take away with them.

The kickoff concert begins the evening before the Festival with the Million Dollar Band as the opening act and Bret Michaels as the main performer. Continuing throughout the weekend will be over 20 hours of music, with genres ranging from classic rock, to jazz, blues, country, and more. Among those featured will be local favorites The Tyler Walker Band and Buckstein.

The Parker Days Festival will be held beginning the evening of Thursday June 8, and thenrunning all day Friday, June 10 through Sunday, June 12.
