Olympia residents invited to help support local conservation efforts

The Nisqually Land Trust will be hosting a fundraising gala to support its efforts in the Nisqually River watershed, and the public has been cordially invited to attend the celebration.

Guests at the event will be treated to hors d’ouvres and also an oyster bar, and there will also be dinner, served buffet style. Wine will be available, as will the services of a no-host bar. As a part of the function, guests will have an opportunity to learn more about the river and the efforts that are being made to conserve it for future generations, and both live and silent auctions will be a part of the event.

Supporters and friends of the organization hosting the event will have time to mingle and get to know one another, and the proceeds from the event, which will raise both money and awareness, will be donated to the Nisqually Land Trust. Brochures that give further details about the group and its efforts can be printed for distribution during an event like this.

The evening will take place on April 1 in the South Puget Sound Community College’s Lacey campus. Tickets have been priced at $125 each, which includes the starters, access to the oyster bar, the buffet style meal, and a $25 voucher for the auction. Further information has been made available on the gala’s website.
